Marriage – LEADERSHIP GUIDE

PRE-MARRIAGE

My recommendation for doing pre marriage counseling is to take them through volume one only. In volume one it covers God’s purposes for marriage and provides not only clear instructions and overview, it also examines personal experiences that can negatively affect their perspective and expectations they have for marriage. After marrying, my recommendation for every couple is for them to start volume 2 through 5, 90 days after. This is just enough time for them to truly grasp the principles and notice some of the habits that have already begun to form that need to be realigned to the Word and will of God. Those who are serious follow through and are eager to take the next step, but there are those who struggle to make the time and wait until they hit a crisis.
